Jan's Tenor guitar

Number 17: Martin 5 size four string, 23" Scale

My former colleague Jan plays the banjo for a long time. He needed a guitar for playing on his own, but did not want to learn fiddling on a 6 string. The solution is a 4 string Tenor Guitar tuned as a banjo CGDA. These were popular in the mid 20th century, but Martin and Gibson stopped making them in the 70's. These days it is hard to find a very good Tenor Guitar from contemporary brands. So here it is: A ringing banjo-like guitar.
